Let me break it down for you...


1) People don't like seeing someone on their level achieve success and out do them. It's different comparing yourself to a celebrity or something, people will already assume the celeb is better and kind of know their place. However, it's a hard blow to the ego to see someone who you might think you're better than, out do you.

2) Ever see white people get scared shytless when a black man so much as raises his voice? A lot of white people have an irrational fear of a role reversal in history. So basically they're afraid of blacks getting too much power and turning whites into slaves. This is why there has been a systematic disapproval of reparations for blacks (even though the white slave owners got reparations) and why you see cacs complain about the new star wars film saying it "promotes white genocide" and it's also why white people love to make black people docile and take the high road, it's why the bible was brought to Africa after they raped the continent etc. etc.
