That shyt would have been a BBS. I'm sure it's some 80s equivalent board where motherfukkers were fighting over Grandmaster Flash or some shyt. :mjlol:

:mjlol:
I just checked an old archived hip hop message board and ain’t shyt changed. It goes back to 1991 and they get more and more insufferable the farther back you go lmao.

If you think that you are a true hip hop head whether you be from the
East Coast or the West there are a few groups that you must know and be
able to appreciate:
1) ULTRAMAGNETIC: I'd still say that they are the dopest rap group ever.
In order to understand the progression of rap from the Run DMC drum
machine type beats to the present, their album CRITICAL BEATDOWN from '87
is necessary. Not too mention the fact that abstract rappers of today
would not have had the guts to do what they are doing if it had not been
for the ill lyrics of KOOL KEITH.
2)The JUNGLE BROTHERS: Just think, where would the rap world be today
without A TRIBE CALLED QUEST? And where would A TRIBE CALLED QUEST be
without the JUNGLE BROTHERS. They were true innovators in sampling
techniques, lyrical organization, and the whole nine. No album has yet
too even come close to level of innovation that they showed on their
second album BEYOND THIS WORLD.
3)STETSASONIC: The original rap band. The first to successfully blend
musical instruments in such a way that they did not lose their hardcore
edge. Also out of that group came one of the dopest producers of all
time PRINCE PAUL who virtually made DE LA SOUL and still makes DE LA SOUL
as dope as they are.
4) THE ORIGINAL FLAVOR UNIT: NO I'm not talking about Queen Latifah,
Naughty, Zhane and whoever the hell else is out now that is in the "FLAVA
UNIT". I'm talking about DJ. MARK THE 45 KING, LAKIM SHABAZZ, LATEE,
MARKY FRESH,and a bunch of other Djs and MCs who were rippin it before
Latifah took over, for instance CHILL ROB G, whose lyrical skill has yet
to be imitated successfully by anyone, just look at what happened to that
wack group SNAP!.
5) BDP: I don't think that there is any need for discussion about them.
If you dont think that they have had an important influence on the
progression of rap then you are either five years old, starting listening
to hip hop last week, or need to stop smoking crack.
6) THE JUICE CREW: I can't even think of words to describe the dopeness
and lyrical prowess that was shown by this group of MCs and Djs when they
were at their height around '87-88. And if you don't know who they are
then don't even bother listening to rap anymore cuz you are totally lost.
Marley Marl is the father of all the dope producers that are out
now, and if you don't believe me just listen to BIZMARKIE, KOOL G.RAP AND
POLO, and BDK'S first albums.

If indeed you don't like Nas's stuff and you call yourself a true head I
would have to disagree. But that's just my opinion. Everyone you named
is live. I tried to come up with a logical explanation for not liking
any of those artists.. I came up with 2.
(1) You just have some different shyt waitin' to blow up in '95.
(2) You just don't know the time.

Sorry, the minute I like someone because the Real Headz, or anyone else,
tells me to, is the time I stop listening to music. This "If you like the
same shyt I like, then you're real" shyt is f*cked up. I guess I'm not a
Real Head, whatever shall I do?
