yall gotta let go of the assumption that social media largely reflects real life. In certain aspects it does, you can point to certain trends and gather from your life experience and say hey man this is disturbingly true. BUT even those unhinged individuals who spew toxic viewpoints on social media know that it won't go even half as well in real life . So they move accordingly and settle happily with what they condemn online
