this scenario happens in real life in "solved" games like connect 4 tho, chess hasn't been solved yet but white could probably always win or stalemate with perfect info

But that shouldn't change shyt too much since the soothsayer still knows what the telepath about to do
Idk too much about chess and if there are moves you can't protect against even if you see them coming, but if there aren't, I don't see anyone winning

Just because you know what the future holds doesn't mean you can necessarily change it.

Assuming an equal level of chess proficiency, the mind reader would be in a more advantageous position. They can understand their opponents decision making and even begin to predict the opps strategies based off their readings. Seeing the future doesn’t exactly give you as much information in real time to make the right decisions when needed imo
