The old OGs have billions of followers throughout the ages, before social media even, and many have lived and died over their ideas and many more pore over their words and it got me thinking:
What would happen if we witnessed a modern day prophet in the flesh in our lifetime?
One thing people gloss over is things the old timers said back then were revolutionary when they said them because everyone else believed something different, such is the way of conventional wisdom. Its also why people would've thought they were nuts, much like how we look at Scientologists beliefs:
Now granted I believe that all religions are man made constructs designed to enslave the minds of their adherents under the guise of liberation but thats another topic. What interests me is how the modern world would respond to a prophet in the flesh?
Would they recognize and realize the higher aspect showing them another side of life or would they rebel and hold tight to their sacred cows as they were petrified by what they heard? Tesla said the world can only handle one change at a time and I do believe he was in many ways a prophet because he had the insight and knowledge to give mankind a quantum leap but people were happy with baby steps and even then only grudgingly.
Its crazy how everybody wants change but when push comes to shove they clutch to the familiarity they view with disdain.
