Above the fray.
"All the star players? "

Who is a star on that team besides Steph?

Probably because it's New Year's weekend, y'know, people are trying to squeeze in a few extra “off” days before Monday arrives and things resume back to normal.

You know, players are trying to enjoy the festivities with their family and friends, it kinda brings me back to what Draymond said about playing on Christmas, most players hate playing on that day because it shortens the time they have with their families, etc.

I CAN'T REMEMBER WHICH FORMER
PLAYER SAID IT
BUT I REMEMBER HIM SAYING
IF YOURE GONNA REST PLAYERS
DO IT DURING THE NON NATIONAL TV GAMES.

AMAZON PAYED ALL OF THAT MONEY
JUST TO WIND UP WITH PAT SPENCER

If GS beat Utah tonight it would be worth it. They need to win all gimme games to just make the play in.

Playing old starters in a blowout/back 2 back against OKC just isn’t wise :manny:

You’re getting paid millions of dollars a year, you can play the second half of a back to back.
Steph is old, I don't expect him to play back to back. Tim Duncan and the Spurs made it a common practice. It's really an easy fix for the NBA not to put a national tv game on a back to back for a guy nearing 40.

Stop it. They ducked OKC and then all suited up the very next night.

they ducked OKC but the only one with a rest designation was Green and he ain't been an all-star in 4 years.

If anything, teams are trying to game the situation better by designating an injury they may actually have. They're just not gonna tell them to play through it on certain nights.

Ill never understand this dumb ass load management shyt.. Popavich started this bull and fukked the League up.. and if u really look at the players that be sitting out, they the ones that stay injured..

Thats da real reason all these damn acl and Achilles Injuries keep happening frfr.. you practice how u play, think about it these past couple years teams dont even be practicing like they use too, going hard and all that..now its just walk thrus and shoot arounds..

Lokk at a player like mikal bridges dude never missed one game in his Whole career not one.. and he never been injured or load managed not 1 game.. cause he fukking playing EVERY DAY! nikkas is really hooping for a couple hours and cant even fukking do that consistent smh.

I hope the ratings keep going down so the bull shyt can stop.. nikkas really playing a damn game for millions and u cant show up every fukking day for 2 hours lol shyt is sickening. Real hoopers literally hooped every single day all day and be happy doing it.. these new nikkas p*ssy man.. Just fukking hoop .
Not necessarily.

That can happen at any time.

As for "nikkas really playing a damn game for millions" BINGO! You just explained why some players do it. This generation of players will produce the most guys who played 17+ years in the league. That's an anomaly. AC Green, known as Ironman played 1192 games in a row and lasted 16 years, Anthony Davis, aka Street Clothes, is 2 years away from playing 16 years himself and there's gonna be like a 250+ game gap between the two. If Anthony Davis had to gut out even half that missed time, he'd be in the HOF right now because he woulda had to retire 3 years ago. Some players physically can't get through it, but if you're still paying me max money and you know how the play in optimal conditions, that carrot will still be there.
