A simple formula to rate women using the NBA model (women can use it to). It also explains who most relationships fail.

Look at yourself as an NBA owner. And the woman you use is like choosing a player. The goal is to find your soulmate. And there are 5 types

1. Franchise Player - this is your soulmate. Your ride or die. Think Jordan, Magic, Kareem etc. this is what you want to end up with.

2. All-Star Player - this player is good enough to build a contender around, but everything needs to align perfectly. Needs the right pieces around them, but under the right conditions, you can win a title. Think Embid, KD, etc. This should be your bare minimum criteria.

3. Starter (fringe all star) - this player is good but not great. They will have moments and even get a few all star appearances, but are not consistent. You can’t build around them. And this is sadly the type of women, dudes end up with. One minute, you think you’re going to compete for a title, the next minute you miss the playoffs. Think Julius Randle.

4. Role Player - usually a mistress or that coworker you smash. Or a friend with benefits. They will have a stretch of games where they look. Like an all star coming off the bench. But if you put them in the starting lineup, or give them significant minutes in a playoff series, they fold. They can’t step up.

5. DNP Coaches Decision - These are toxic women. They should get any playing time, but simps will give them tryouts, and sign them to 10 day contracts. Over and over again.

And the reason why relationships don’t last is because nikka giving max contracts to Role players and starters thinking they can’t build a title around them :manny:

This is an interesting way to look at things in hindsight :ohhh:
How would you be able to figure out who falls in which category in the moment?

Gotta watch out for those Zach Lavines :francis:

Brehs get caught up in the body (athleticism) or sex (dunk contest wins), and sign her to a rookie max extension even though shes only averaging 16 ppg.

And there are a ton of Zion Williamson chicks. Dudes get caught up on the moment and feel like if they don’t sign her, they will be la bottom tier franchise for the foreseeable future.

How do they respond to not getting enough minutes early. How do they respond to adversity. Are they clutch. Do they make excuses for losing close games. Do they throw teammates under the bus. Are they coachable. Are they willing to make sacrifices to win. Do they see themselves wining a title on your team? Can they shoot? Can they defend?

You may be with a chick who can score points, but disappears in close games.

She might give you 30 points a game but is a liability on defense.

If you have to allocate a lot of resources, time and effort just to be a .500 team fighting for the play in games then she’s not a franchise player or an all star. :ufdup:She’s a starter

The irony is A LOT of athletes marry this kind of woman.

Basically someone that is attractive, reasonably intelligent and looks good on your arm but isn't a ride or die franchise player.

Having fame/money makes it impossible to filter out the gold diggers from the gold medalists.

This is awful for a myriad of reasons, but main one that jumps out to me is a lot of the failings of the relationship/team is placed on the player/significant other. Relationships are a ever-changing dynamic and you can have someone who has all of the traits you think you desire, but life has a way of throwing you curveballs and the situation is no longer compatible for both of you.
And it’s no one‘s fault it’s just a matter of compatibility

In reality, you cannot peg somebody as one or the other. Some days you’re lady is going to be finals MVP some days you’re going to question why you’re with her in the first place. This is the reality of relationships.
