While this is true, he hasn't given Biden any issues on that front (or Obama)...if Biden nominates Kentaji Brown Jackson I guarantee you Manchin will flirt with some ugly shyt. He'll likely ultimately vote for her but it'll be ugly.
She used to be Breyer's clerk and Biden said he'd nominate a black woman so it all adds up. Only 51 years old...
I’m having a meeting with top members of the White House to discuss his replacement. My suggestion is someone black and obviously young. I would recommend myself but my duty is much higher than that of a Supreme Court justice. There are plans to dramatically alter the present state of the country. I will be steering the ship into a direction that will astound the world. Stay tuned.

Kentanji Brown Jackson just got through the DC circuit court nomination with a bipartisan vote, so it would look REALLY suspicious if there was opposition to her being a SCOTUS judge.
