I'm just saying, on paper, they should still be able to hold their own even without Kobe. What makes you believe that?
I'm just saying, on paper, they should still be able to hold their own even without Kobe.
even an old Steve Nash at that, they should be able to win.
Add in Artest, Jamison and a decent Earl Clark.
No excuses IMO![]()
again man let me state the facts before Lakers haters come in here.
-This team is OLD
-Fast paced offense for a whole game is not good
-Steve Nash doesn't pose the same threat that Kobe does: in the post or in the pick and roll(at this stage in his career).
They dont play fast paced or up & down.
And at this point, feed the post. Play inside out. You have two All-star caliber big men. Nash may not be as mobile anymore, but he can still shoot. Meeks can shoot. Jamison still has a good mid-range game. The reason Orlando was one of the all-time great 3pt shooting teams a few years ago was because they played inside out.
They should be able to present mismatches with the right scheme.
They dont play a fast paced offense because Kobe took control on the ball and MDA couldn't tell him shyt. The team was a .600+ team once Kobe did that and started to slow the down the tempo. Whenever Kobe went out the game, the team would revert back to MDA's offense which is why you saw Kobe starting to play 48 mn a game.
this team is taylor made for the Triangle offense but some genius in the FO thought MDA would be perfect![]()
But D'Antonio is coaching...
