Wrong. The main reason people aren't having kids is because it is no longer in their best interest economically. Not to mention the less talked about reason which is lower fertility rates. And that is ultimately the byproduct of widespread pollution impacting our reproductive organs. And over population is a problem, not so much because there is anything inherently wrong with more people but because the rate at which we consume natural resources. If everyone on earth had the same standard of living as we do in America our civilization would have collapsed a long time ago. And even now we aren't living sustainable and are headed for collapse.

Ultimately what's going to happen is a great simplification of our global economy. Less people will mean less things getting done. Musk is correct in that regard but is purposely being disingenuous about the real reasons this is so. Population will eventually peak and dramatically go down due the replacement rate, war, and the impacts of global warming.

Abortion was made legal, and contraceptives became more accessible.
