Nothing profound is being said here. We're all products of our environment to some extent. Signaling in on that ignores the larger autonomy and active choices people make. The environment is bad? Alright, fine its terrible. The next question should be why are you choosing to stay and make it a home? Why did you ignore all the warnings and people advising you that it wasn't a good one to be in? We never get to these questions or hear real answers.
