if written correctly, like a WWE verison of the x-men cartoon. with different universes and different time eras. Like there would be a WWE universe and maybe an alternate WCW universe. and different time eras where Hulk was the greatest fighter, vs a modern day era where Cena was the greatest fighter. eras and universes could clash.

each guy would have powers and characteristics consistent with their in ring personas. i.e. The Undertaker would have invulnerability, and mystic powers. Cena and Hogan would have super strength. Jake the Snake would have the power to control snakes and serpents. Alberto Del Rio and Ted Dibiase would be rich fukks.

I've thought of writing a Pro Wrestling comic before, but I wasn't sure how I wanted to handle the subject of kayfabe. Like... everything is a shoot, so do motherfukkers get taken out of commission like in a legit deathmatch tournament?

Also... if the Undertaker has these powers, does he have other plans beyond wrestling on TV? Not sure how to approach this shyt. My point with this is... what drives the story? Do these guys really just want to be WWE champ? Does having the belt give someone immense power or some shyt? Whats the motivation?

they wouldn't be wrestlers per say, they would be heros. It would play out in a universe where there are heroes and villains. Like a DC universe

:ohhh: It's so simple...

You're right, that would be the best approach.
certain episodes could be centered around real legendary matches that took place. like Brock vs Cena. Cena's greatest challenge like Superman vs Doomsday, with Heyman being a Lex Luthor type or some type of Boss with a stable of Villains plotting to take power from Mr. Mcmahon

If done right you could spin the eras out not only into cartoons but super hero themed video games and films.

A Michael Bay produced Attitude Era film featuring the Ministry played by A-list actors :lawd:

There's a WWE comic miniseries out as we speak. It's being written by Foley :sas1:

It's not bad though. Instead of a superhero/fantasy angle, they went with a kind of noir detective thing. Cena's a cop, Orton's a crooked lawyer, Shield are ruthless vigilantes, etc...

It actually works cause it's got that weird balance between down to earth and fantastic, which is what wrasslin is all about when you think about it...

I was thinking more cartoon than comic book, just that style tho

yeah in a comic book style like x-men it should have been happening since the early 90's to be honest but it would have been a miracle for it not to have been cheesy and to have had an xmen mature type tone and then I guess you would have to have a major conflict and villain

Like are they intergalactic super heroes and we aren't aware on earth and thus the wrestling is just kind of a cover for their real missions and they compete as sport
