If anything, I think Judge was only 3 behind Bonds' pace, so if anything it shows how insane that Bonds September was. From game 139-162

Rightfully so, McGwire, Sosa, Bonds, Gonzalez, Pudge, Bagwell and a ton of other dudes from that era all put up some fugazi ass numbers.

Bonds was no longer an MVP caliber player anymore until he started juicing for his 2nd peak.

Also, Bonds was a dirtbag off the field and never had the streets like Griffey did.
