In our grandparents day if you had diabetes it was a wrap. Knee/hip replacements were trash or non existent. It'd depressing not know what the future holds.
I think as long as I take care of my body and don't get cancer I can make it to 2080 and still be mobile![]()
We have to just get more efficient. Using current agriculture and energy practices it’s not sustainable but we can get alot better at producing energy and food. There is just not enough resources to sustain that many people it's a numbers game. War for resources is inevitable.
I guess the bright side is we might colonize Mars
Good that you are looking at the positive side but human history tells us we will fight for resources when they become scare. We have to just get more efficient. Using current agriculture and energy practices it’s not sustainable but we can get alot better at producing energy and food.
Fax. Japan and England are smaller than most US states. Theres enough room. We waste millions of tons of food each year. There are enough resources to support at least another 8 bill. Its a matter of changing mindsets. We have to just get more efficient. Using current agriculture and energy practices it’s not sustainable but we can get alot better at producing energy and food.
Part of me hopes we live long enough to experience that stuff. Def not on that “live forever” BS, but extending our health/increasing longevity would be amazing! In our grandparents day if you had diabetes it was a wrap. Knee/hip replacements were trash or non existent.
By 2080 you'll have 3D printed organs, getting your whole hardware replaced every few years. Nanobots clearing up plaque in your arteries and protein buildup that slow down brain functions.
A 90 year old in the future will be as healthy as a 50 year old today.
It all depends on how fast we can compensate. If we don’t adapt faster than we consume and need then war and suffering is inevitable. Hopefully we never get to that stage. I’m not confident but it’s possible.Good that you are looking at the positive side but human history tells us we will fight for resources when they become scare.
