Kristie Evans, 48, has been convicted of first-degree murder in the death of her husband, David Evans, 50.
Police say the Oklahoma pastor was shot dead in his bed by Khalil Square, 26, who is accused of planning the death with Kristie Evans. He was 50.
.
Police at the time said Kristie and David Evans had had threesomes together with Square, but the wife and the younger sex partner also had a separate affair just the two of them.
"On one of those occasions, Kristie secretly dropped her phone number on the floor for Kahlil," the agent reported. "Kristie continued to communicate by phone daily with Kahlil without David's knowledge."
She spoke to Ada police and the OSBI multiple times after the shooting. In one interview, she admitted Square stayed the night with her March 17, 18 and 19 while her husband was on a mission trip to Mexico, according to the affidavit
She claimed in another interview that her husband was verbally abusive and called her names like "slut, fat, ugly and whore," according to the affidavit. She said she had told Square about the mistreatment and he had responded, "Damn." She also told him "it would be nice to have more freedom."

Authorities said Kristie Evans “begged” the then-26-year-old man who she and her husband had been having a threesome with to kill him, according to a probable cause affidavit released after the murder
Last Sunday morning, Harmony Church pastor Dave Evans preached about attacks from the devil and all he and his wife had overcome to be victorious in life.
Hours later, he was killed at his home in bed.
On March 22, Square entered the Evans family's home while the husband and wife were sleeping and shot the pastor dead in his bed, according to police.
In her confession Thursday, she admitted she recruited a lover to kill her husband, provided him with a gun and bullets, and left the backdoor unlocked for him to enter the house, an OSBI agent reported in an arrest affidavit.
She said she had to urge him to "proceed with the plan" after finding him crouched down in the dining room and worrying about making too much noise, the agent reported.
She said she waited in the living room until she heard a "pop" from the bedroom, according to the affidavit. She said she then called for help from her side of the bed after her lover ran out the backdoor.
Square then fled the scene and Kristie called 911, claiming an intruder had broken in and killed her husband. Four days later, she allegedly confessed to her daughter, Brittney Long, that she had 'begged' her lover to kill her father. She then went to the police and turned herself in.
The OSBI and Ada police used surveillance videos from a next-door neighbor's home, a bank and a marijuana dispensary to place Square's car in Ada on the night of the shooting, according to the affidavit.
Ms. Evans admitted guilt in court this week and was convicted of first degree murder.
Square, meanwhile, has denied the charges filed against him. His lawyer said he is pleading not guilty to a murder charge.

Evans will be sentenced in August.
She is facing life in prison.
According to her children and her father, Evans endured years of verbal and psychological abuse from her husband.
David Evans pressured his wife endlessly to bring other people into their relationship, to make things “more fun” for him in the bedroom; and he referred to her in messages as a “frigid bytch.”
A review of four years of private Facebook messages between the couple provided to NBC News showed him pressing her to perform sex acts with other men, deriding her as a “frigid bytch” for failing to hook up with other swinger couples and demanding typed statements that detailed their sex life.

She described him as financially controlling and physically abusive in ways that never “left a mark.” During an exchange one month before his murder, after Kristie Evans threatened divorce, she said her husband held a .357 revolver to his chin as she talked to their daughter over the phone — an apparent effort to control how she discussed the separation.

David Evans' mother said she didn't know about it, but blamed Kristie Evans for not doing more to seek help if her son had been abusive.
"She could have gone to a new city or a battered women’s shelter,” she told NBC News last year.

Kristie’s father, Ed Armer, said in a news interview that his daughter had been trapped in an abusive relationship with no way out.
“She seized an opportunity to escape from her personal hell,” Armer said.
Two of the Evans’ three children were placed with their grandparents in 2010 after they reported their father’s abusive behaviour to police.
One of their sons, 28 year old Zachary, and their daughter, Brittney Long, have both described their father’s abuse. They said he he would slam the children’s heads together, lift them off the floor by their hair, and make them clean the house at night while berating them.
Kristie Evans has said her husband isolated her from friends. He placed ads on Craigslist for sexual partners, harangued his wife about inviting a co-worker over for a threesome and threatened suicide if his wife didn’t go along with what he wanted.

NBC News reported extensively on the abuse angle in the case, reporting that experts have said Kristie Evans appeared to be the victim of what is known as “coercive control” by her husband.
Long recognized, this type of abuse was first described as a pattern and criminal violation in 2007 by Evan Stark, a social worker and researcher.
Coercive control includes a range of emotional, physical and other abusive behaviors, such as isolation, humiliation, financial control, sexual coercion and low-level violence.
Stark compared the abuse to a hostage situation, when men use strategic, oppressive tactics aimed at “controlling the whole space,” he said in an interview.
Evan’s lawyer, Joi Miskel, said Evans understands there has to be accountability.
“But she wants the court and the public to know the reasons behind her actions.”
In his sermon Sunday morning, Dave Evans preached about being a witness for God.
"Who’s believing in Jesus because of us?" he asked. "And if we’re doing anything in that direction, expect for the enemy to come to destroy you. So don’t be shocked and start whining and crying. Expect it. Be prepared for it. If the devil is not attacking you, there is a reason. If the devil is attacking you, there is a reason.
Miskel added that her client, “at least now has some control and say so in her life that she didn’t have before — as twisted as that may sound.”
