Had an older Accord coupe that I ended up giving to a relative. Lasted well over 300k miles. Ended up buying a new 2014 Mazda6 that has over 150k miles now and never had any problems. I'd consider that one too

Out of those two, accord.

But like other breh said, maybe an even older lexus for the same price might actually last longer than both (unless you just really dislike their models /look)

UPDATE: Thanks everyone for the advice. Ended up getting the Accord. Picked up a 2012 Honda Accord EX-L with a V6 with 110K miles. Just a little over $8K total.

Put some money down on it and will finance the rest. The plan is to have it paid off by the end of the year. I'm not a fan of car notes and I like having solid cash flow on a month to month basis.

I could have gotten a newer model with less miles but it would have been a base model. Going with an older model allowed me to get the V6 engine plus the leather. The V6 has some pretty good kick to it and is an enjoyable drive.

The Accords has been well maintained with no issues. I think I should be able to get at least another 100k out of this car. My last Corolla I got about 75K miles out of it and could have gotten more but that was my first car and I wasn't as hip to car maintenance and the like so problems came up.

I got a good deal :yeshrug:. The car was a little over 8k, I put down about half. Will pay the rest off this year. I didn’t want to empty out my savings and pay it in full.

It’s a good deal regardless. Accords last a long time and I’m not a fan of long term car notes. That’s just a waste of cash IMHO. Fck I look like financing a car over 5 years when I can put that money elsewhere.

I could have financed a newer car but then I’m financing a larger amount and I just don’t need that much car. My last car I bought it in cash and that feeling of no car note was amazing.

Different strokes for different blokes.

I'm a Nissan fan but objectively the Accord is a better built vehicle and you can probably get a pretty clean 2010 Accord with around 80k miles in a private sale.

Edit: Oh wait you're financing?

You can probably get a 2013 Chevy Malibu for that type of money, underrated car.

Can't do wrong with a Honda product.

Next joint I'm keeping an eye out is the next gen Acura TL Type S. TT V6 + SH-AWD :banderas:
