Active shooter reported at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard in Hawaii

PEARL HARBOR - An active shooter was reported at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard late Wednesday, the Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam confirmed.

“JBPHH security forces have responded to a reported shooting at the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard. The incident occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m. Due to the ongoing security incident, access/gates to #JBPHH (#JBPHH hashtag on Twitter) are closed. We will update when we have further information,“ the JBPHH tweeted.

There was no immediate confirmation of injuries in the ongoing situation.
