That's because there was never a problem to begin with, folks just talked themselves into it being a problem because it's a deviation the product they grew up on.If you referee all season like you do the playoffs, all of this stuff fixes itselfI haven’t noticed the 3 problem at all
Must be all those changes that Adam made to the 3-pt shot volumes.

I think the way Boston plays specifically and some other stupid teams play is really hard to watch. That's because there was never a problem to begin with, folks just talked themselves into it being a problem because it's a deviation the product they grew up on.
It's okay not to like that.
But that doesn't mean there's an issue with the game.
Must be all those changes that Adam made to the 3-pt shot volumes.

Matches what my eyes see. The defense that dudes are allowed to play in the playoffs decreases 3pt volume
BOSTON AVERAGED
A RIDICULOUS 48 THREES
IN THE REGULAR SEASON.
THEYRE AVERAGING 31 THREES
IN THE PLAYOFFS.
We saw a decrease in 3 point attempts second half of last year when the refs swallowed their whistles more. That's why I think allowing more physicality at the point of attack is the solution to decreasing 3 point attempts if the league really wants to do it. With that said for most teams they are still shooting a similar number of 3s compared to the regular season. Add in a small sample size and that there has been so many blow outs it's really not a good data set to use. Add in with better defense comes longer possessions which leads to less possessions per game and you can't really say there is any correlation to 3 point attempts and these playoff ratings.Matches what my eyes see. Orlando has the best 3 point defense in the NBA

Admittedly, I’ve only watched the laker games from that list of teams so I can’t speak to them. The 3pt thing is an issue with regular season Boston and teams that mimic them, for me. It’s spam and I don’t like watching it. Boston is the extreme. Allowing physical defense alone has made the games I’ve seen a lot more enjoyable than the regular season, which is probably more important than shot selection.Cavs 3-pt volume has increased in the playoffs
OKC's 3-pt volume has increased in the playoffs
Heat's 3-pt volume has increased in the playoffs
Lakers 3-pt volume has increased in the playoffs
Bucks 3-pt volume has increased in the playoffs
Pacers 3-pt volume has increased in the playoffs.
The number of 3s teams are taking are really no different to the regular season.
Keep in mind, we're only 4-5 games into the postseason, so you can't really take anything meaningful out of 3-pt volume.
Furthermore, the Cavs' offense has arguably been the most entertaining to watch over the 1st round, and they've averaged considerably more 3s than any other team in the playoffs. Ain't nobody coming away from Cavs games complaining about how their games are boring, or killing the product or any of that other shyt.
I'll add also -
The more the regular season went on, the less complaints there were about the 3-pt shot. The discourse became more about enjoying the games. Guess what- the 3-pt volume didn't change. I don't know, it's almost like the 3-pt shot isn't as bad as y'all make it out to be.
