If you're a young cat, I could see why one would feel this way.

I wonder if @NV-ME still puts CJ over him. :scheme:

I remember that :why:

I still cant believe people got hopped up off that.

Chris Johnson had a great season, but AD was the better back. It was just one season.

Randy Moss is, by far, the best player I've ever seen. AP prolly in my top 5

Randy Moss and Barry Sanders.

Barry's career 5.0 YPC is :whew::ohlawd: (more impressive is that he had Rodney Peete/Scott Mitchell as his QB:wtf:)

What Moss did before he got punished and sent to Oakland was:lawd:

Shout outs to Lawrence Taylor, Reggie White, and Deion Sanders.

Hence why the thread title read "best Ive ever seen", meaning that his opinion is specific to him and his depth of knowledge and experience.

I happen to believe the thread starter is unquestionably on the money. I would go so far as to say AD is the best athlete of his generation, spanning leagues. Point to me the athlete who had his leg destroyed, only to come back in record time w/ and MVP caliber season on a below average team he, theoretically, should be dependent upon for success.

And dont do the generational hate thing, bruh. Old heads seem to love to invalidate accomplishments because they are happening in real time, as opposed to 1983, or 1992, when efforts could be safely lionized in reflection.

a lot of people like to condemn Moss for his Oakland stint but his first season wasn't that terrible. he had 8 touchdowns in his first year with the team whilst playing with a shoulder injury for much of the season and a bum Kerry Collins

2006, Moss endured a QB carousel similar to the Arizona Cardinals this year. he had Andrew Walter, Marques Tuiasosopo, and Aaron Brooks throwing him the ball. all 3 QB's are currently out of the league. That season, the QB's collectively put up these stats:

7 touchdowns
23 interceptions
72 sacks

this was not only the worst offensive team I'd ever seen, it was easily the worst team I'd ever seen period. worst that the 0-16 lions, worse than the cardinals this year, etc

Not to mention, he had a bum hamstring the entire year... That was the year Terrance Newman chased him down after a long bomb...

I still hate Red McCombs for trading him away for nothing... What a miserable old piece of shyt...

Born in 86, only really remember watching players live from 92-93 on....

lets go

Brady
Manning
Marino

Favre (at times)
Rice
:lawd:
Barry Sanders
Deion Sanders

Emmitt Smith
Ed Reed
Ray Lewis
Randy Moss
Brees
Aaron Rodgers

All better in their primes than Peterson... :whoa: with all this crazy talk

to answer your question, no. but that year cj had on top of ap's consistent injuries made that joint debateable. especially when you factored in the viks had more weapons than tenn. im pround to have been on that cj2k wagon. :salute:

ap is my mvp, but he still aint better than barry.
