If that is true then 50 is just as fukked up a dude as Broner.
No one who has a realistic way out loves the hood and wants to stay. And I was born and raised in a fukked up city full of poverty and violence right outside of Philly so I know exactly what I am talking about.
I think it might be a couple of you who have never actually been to a real life hood who have this unrealistic view of things based off of watching some movies or something because the nonsense you guys are talking is crazy.

I grew up right outside Philly like you....in Wilmington. It wasn't until I went to college that my peoples moved out, so for summer break, I gotta suffer out in the boonies. My auntie could easily move out to the burbs if she wanted. She make the same amount of money as my moms. She likes the city, so she lives in the city. Some people are more comfortable there. It's really nothing more to explain

My auntie house is a 3 bedroom rowhouse with a basement and a backyard. It probably run her $900-$1200. You can get an apartment or a townhouse out in Newark or New Castle (suburbs) for that. Be in a quiet neighborhood around white folk. She obviously dont want that. My grandmom didn't. My other grandmom doesn't and still lives in her house. My best friend family still live in a rowhouse that his late grandmother passed down to them even though his mom got a fat ass corporate job. My other homie's family came up on some money. Still live in their same crib. They renovated the fukk out of it though
Just cuz you leave the hood (my people's did too), don't mean everybody else want too 
i understand people not leaving the hood because they are comfortable there, i see plenty old people in my moms nieghborhood who dont leave... but there houses looks nice... nicely kept... i dont know about broners moms house... but this is it... im sure she would leave that behind.,, plus i heard broner saying that he knows he hasnt made it because he hasnt bought hes mother a house yet... has he even offered?
