WTF?

I constantly see commercials with these "moms" or "dads" in these stores being guilted in to buying laptops and ipads, and cell phones and video games and other multiple hundred dollar gifts. then saying something slick like "get the gifts they will really love"

I'm like :mindblown:

then I'm like :stopitslime:

I dunno bout you guys but I was LUCKY if my parents bought me something worth a hundred bucks or so and if they did I didn't get anything else.

like I got a SNES when I was a kid that me and my brthers shared and that was like the best xmas ever.

but who is really going to best buy and buying lil jimmy a laptop
then lil suzy set of beats headphones
then the hubby getting a lexus
and the wife getting a diamond necklace

maybe I'm just out of the loop.
maybe I just grew up poor

but is this the shyt that really goes on??

If a kids in the eighth grade, their better be getting an iPad, Galaxy s4, an ultrabook, and a new console under that tree or those parents get social services called on them. That's how it is now.
