It should be noted that a lot of those contracts are a waste. Excess money with nothing to spend it on, so they throw shyt at the wall, so they don’t lose out on it.

The industry isn’t for everyone though as it’s your ass if you fukk up the numbers and why there’s a bunch of rules and procedures in place to try and prevent it from happening. Even then, you’re still dependent on other people doing their part who may not know nor care if the numbers are right.
Someone has to crunch the numbers on those contracts.

I got concepts of a plan.
SNC was just awarded a $1B contract last week. That’s our main competition. I was heated.
I dropped three applications as soon as I read the news.
They suck because I would have to work in the States then get deployed once a year.
We waiting on getting our 5 year contract extension, so I’m probably staying anyway.
Defense contracting is as sure as politicians raises. They don’t stop.

They just picked up $200mm in contracts too. Mayne they over hired on the heels of Ukraine-Russia.
The less people they have, the better.
Cutting "unnecessary" staff is a good way to keep #'s up and make the stock price jump.
CEOs used to be paid a lot more, but now a lot of their compensation is via stock - so their interests are aligned with the shareholders (aka the owners of the company) - but not the long term viability of the company, or customers, or employees, or vendors, or the product....
Follow the money as we’re short handed and could use all the help we could get. Overworked and underpaid especially for the long term liability we take on.
