Yes. This is exactly how it worked in the 50s through 80s. You get a non title match with the champ. If you win (or not lose), you get a title shot. It just wasn't called an eliminator. 4 way is no different than Thesz/Harley/Flair coming into a territory for a non title match and then rematch for the title.

looking at the trios match and its good how things have been flowing in such a way where you got a decent group of heels like the DR and Elite and ones involved with them and then the faces like the ones we been seeing and you can plug one from each side against the other on any random show and it'll be a good match. like the one with Knight and Okada. having enough people on both sides for singles and tags is def helping them out. then you also got the opps as trios champs in the mix as well if need be, and also DCF.

then on collision you got the tag division being built up with various feuds and teams being featured so the hurt syndicate can keep doing their thing with mjf while their challengers get built up. and of course the women got plenty of help.

having enough help to cover every division and feuds has been a big help so far this year. lot of feuds are intertwined so it makes it more interesting, plus gives a variety of matchups.
