I'm sat here feeling super pissed off on behalf of Eric Garner and Tamir Rice and then I realise this has been happening for decades but people like me who are not living in the United States of dAmnation have just not been exposed to it.

Separately I've been educating myself on African history. My question was; what was the history of Africa before Europeans were unleashed onto the continent. What I found was cities and kingdoms whose structures were destroyed and their relics stolen or hidden in order for the white man to justify his scramble for land and wealth that wasn't his.

There was a really interesting video on this topic but I can't find it. Ultimately white settlers destroyed these sites.

I am at the cusp of entering full blown hatesville at the crossing between white people are the devil and would any group of people do the same given the chance? Either its humanity or white people.

But my question to you as people who live this reality is how do you manage the anger? It's taking root in me and making me hate. Hate hurts you and I am not looking to get cancer. I've started to take it out on random white guys masculinity by refusing to acknowledge their existence when they try to get eye contact. This is getting unhealthy, need to learn how to manage this emotion.

ps Like I said can't find the video of how europeans destroyed African cities but cool video here

:salute:you on the right path.

I would say it helps to have a creative outlet to channel your feelings into. That keeps you from falling into the anger.

to answer the question. when they say "black on black crime" needs to be addressed. they being white folks in response to when you talk about racism and white supremacy.

black on black crime is a direct effect of said anger you speak of, among other things.

We have the shortest life expectancy in this country for a reason and it's from all the stress of white supremacy.

I can't die from this stress but seriously my tummy hurts right now lmao@ me being exposed to this for only a few months and not being able to handle it vs. entire generations worth.

This sucks.

I'm sure you are not the only non-American Black looking at the U.S. Blacks and asking that same question..how do yall deal? How is there no major uprising?

It's not that simple. Many of us here have families, are parents. It's hard to abandon your duties as a parent and sacrifice yourself for "the cause" instead.

Those who aren't parents or bound by any other serious life resonsibilities..well...I fall into that category and I'd say we just aren't united enough, there is no "one mindedness" amongst this community..and there HAS to be SOME level of that one-mindedness for unity to even BEGIN to take set.

But since we're so splintered and shattered as a people, we find ourselves literally powerless.

We've had a Black president for almost 8 years and nothing has changed for Black people.
Not because he was so shytty.
But because we aren't/weren't unified enough to take advantage of having him in office. We never screamed loud enough in his face, all at once, with the same message.

Pac said it best, in one of his many profound and eerily prophetic verses:
"..and though it seems heaven sent, we aint ready, to have a Black president."

@ProBlack Panther I hear what you're saying but you shouldn't have to go that far in the first place. Not being shot by your own country's police seems like a very basic expectation. I know there is the issue of militarization due to the weaponry they're handed but this asswipe killed a man with his own hands. That shouldn't happen. You as a group shouldn't have to campaign or be
United for that not to happen.

Half the problems faced by diaspora Africans will disappear when African countries become economic powerhouses. Can't wait for the day

What?
