It's a narrative explanation for all the storyline changes happening at the moment.

Shane coming back wasn't meant to cure cancer or anything :manny:

It's the same thing you always see..Cena came back..didn't mean shyt to ratings or business. Roman has meant NOTHING..2.0 ratings with him and Cena on the show. When Shane came back, the ratings went up the next week legitimately. They squandered it and want to keep Stephanie in your face and make it this cute brother/sister thing to build up a Cripple H return. Stupid.

He provided us with the only WrestleMania moment of this year. :yeshrug:

And that spot should have gone to an active wrestler which would have given them instant respect status and could have been a huge making moment ala Foley. I remember reading back in the day that wrestlers hated Shane for doing all these stunts because it made them look bad and they couldn't live up to it, and it's the same here.

Imagine if say, Ambrose (for example) fell 20 feet of the cell... and still kept coming for Brock/Taker (he's still fighting, what a lunatic Maggle), that could have made him right there and then. Or if Ambrose got slammed into the thumbtacks not Jericho, that could have made him.

But no, let's give the massive legend making spot to a 46 year old who rarely wrestles; or let's give a thumbtacks spot which hasn't been used in over a decade to a 45 who's coming to the end of his career.

And they wonder why they can't make stars anymore :francis:

Most people don't even remember who dropped him from the titantron :francis:

I'll give credit for at least putting a lot of effort out there but he is presented as this bad ass and it's just not believable
