Spoke with somebody today in the Org and told him that Jenkins should be the permanent back up PG. And he told me straight up it's not gonna happen. It's politics. Gotta decide on Ivey future. Plus, Ausar. Only way he sees it happening is the Pistons start losing. But he's telling Jenkins to be patient.

For sure. A two way player has less priority than lotto picks

They'll lock him in with 2-4 years for pennies. Which he and his agent probably can't say no to

Stew, Ivey bench lineups been black holes. Crazy amount of TOs. And if Duncan not hitting shots they lose everytime it seems. They have to get another knockdown shooter

Cade chokes again at FT line. Between the FTs and all the bunnies he misses :snoop:

Bad Loss. This is why you don’t keep this core together. They don’t mesh. They have to have another star. Cade cant do it all by himself

Paint point. 62 orl. 46 pistons. What happened to owning the paint?
Teams have taken away the lobs to Duren and have stopped blitzing Cade as much with the doubles as he was burning teams over and over with early passes and 3 vs 2 where Duren and everybody else could eat. Orlando and Boston did more manning up and sending late doubles at opportune times that earned timely turnovers. Cade's gonna eat that way because he's can get his, but the rest of them struggle with that.

This is where a legit second option comes in handy. That's what they're hoping Ivey is but he so clearly not ready yet that I think they need to send his ass to the G league for a week or 2. Him and LeVert came into the game and all flow stalled on both ends of the floor. If Ivey doesn't shows that he's coming around by February then I wouldn't mind packaging him for a upgrade. No rush right now, but they gotta figure out what they got in Ivey by February to determine if he's worth paying or getting something before he walks in the off-season.

This was the year for his rookie class to get their extensions. Next year they can either sign outright, explore restricted free agency where the Pistons can match another teams offer, or Ivey can accept a 1 year qualifying offer and after that year he becomes an unrestricted free agent. Whoever said that on 97.1, rather caller or host, is an idiot. He's done nothing too show he's anywhere near a max player and I don't think any of his draft class besides Paulo, Chet and JWill has signed a max deal. Ivey still got a bunch to prove coming off that injury. Hopefully he does, since it would be the easiest route for the team.
