The only time Drake had slaps was when he got them from another artist that actually made slaps. That's why he had to reinvent his character every time a new sound or trending image came around. He even tried to look like Soundcloud rappers :russ: Like tell me with a straight face this shyt aint embarrassing



His whole discography is an embarrassment in retrospect

The south in general helped Drake's image a lot. It was mutually beneficial he needed to tap into the hood, they needed to tap into the pop charts.
Thug doesn't realize Kendrick doesn't need him to tap into the hood.
The hood was already listening to Drake since he was with Wayne. Versace wasnt until 2013. Even that year, Started From The Bottom was a bigger song both on the charts and street.
