After so much time has passed can we finally admit that 96 is the GOAT NBA Draft?

It really is hard to call. The 03 draft still has some legs left.

iverson, allen, kobe, nash first tier. THen you have camby, abdur-rahim, marbury, walker, o'neal, peja, illgauskas . Then you have guys like jerome williams, kittles, lorenzen wright, tony delk, derek fisher, jeff mciness, shandon anderson. And can't forget ben wallace and chucky atkins who were undrafted

I just see 96 as being deeper when you hit the second level while 03 and 84 was better at the top.

96 also had Antoine Walker, Shareef Adbur Rahim, Big Z who all were all stars at one point. I'd take 96 over all but definitely wouldn't be mad if somebody took 84 considering you had 4 players taken that are arguably top 3 at their position all time or at worst top 6. It just lacked much depth outside of the top four players outside of Hakeem, Jordan, Barkley, and Stockton.

'03 is looking kinda shaky IMO.

Bron will probably end up having the worst NBA Finals record out of all the "GOAT" tier players. No killer instinct.Formed a "Super Team", but his stans said he needed more help:pachaha:

Melo is a paper champ...great scorer

Wade is the realest nicca in that class, but it's not enough to put them over '96 & '84

Hakeem & Jordan is enough for me to put '84 @ #1

'96 coming in @ # 2

96 will have 4 hall of famers off the top. 2 of those HOF have rings. 2 MVP's

84 has 4 hall of famers IIRC and 3 of them are former MVP's.

03 has 4 hall of famers and only 1 MVP. But 3 of the hall of famers have rings that they won together. :yeshrug:

I would say the 84 draft edges them out as far as top guys go. The 96 draft tho has a lot of highly respected and honored players in it that will be around the league for a long time.

edit: I forgot about Nash being a MVP :scust:

Hmm seems like I'll go with the class with the most potential HOF players.

It's a tie between 96 and 2003

How was 03 better at top?
Only 1 player from that Draft won an MVP
3 players from 96 won MVP
