i think collectively we've seen the peak of what everyone will put out over the next 2-3 years. i don't think after this year there will be much to pay attention to. it'll be like scraps at the dinner table....

i'd rather come back in a year or two and see what's going on. it's time to go back and study what made the culture great and re-strengthen my ear. there's just so much coming so fast all the time....it never stops. i think it's easier to just make the conscious decision to turn it off for awhile and fall in love all over again.

that was a good time to take a break...and you didn't really miss anything except the hype/excitement. that means when you get back to it you'll be able to form a better opinion about what you really think. the great thing about music is that it's always there...unlike the artists, trends, and tastemakers that come and go so easily.
