I actually thought this article was making fun of this site, reversing the roles of the complaints I read about black women from black men (American, of course).

If staying on topic, she’s right. If an AA woman wants marriage, her odds are best if she opens her options.

Black men don't have a problem at all dating black women, you just rarely commit or marry them.

Not gonna be a very happy marriage when you broke. Its not like AA men don't want to wife AA women. I'm a married black man, but its not like either one of us got inheritance or anything passed down from out parents. Black fathers can't pay for their daughters wedding. Well that's the whole point of marriage. Two income are better than one and if the couple is smart about it, they should be able to invest their money and make more together. Marriage is just a wealth building tool, imo. Pay less income taxes, transfer assets with minimal tax penalties, investment limits are higher, etc. It's no indication if you love someone or how much you love them. If I were ever to get married, my goal would be for my spouse and I to triple our net worth in the first few years. That way if it ends, we both make out financially. I'm totally for collaboration of money, if not via marriage, then just with friends and family. I'm not trying to struggle just to say I made it on my own.

I'm going to assume that before you got married, you already loved this person and formed a connection. That's the whole point of the dating and relationship phase, right? Marriage is just a wealth building tool that you're using to stabilize an already formed relationship. I don't think couples HAVE to get married, but if they are serious about building wealth, they should.

It's because some opinions don't fit the "progressive" script of accepted opinions. If you don't follow the script your character gets assassinated and the conversation ends(you being the sole loser). Knowing this, people concede ground--even if they are not in agreement--in the hope that they can at
