1. Has more masculine dominance since you will have to be dominant to make a dog submit to your authority.

2. Has more resources since paying for a dogs medical bills and food can set you back thousands each month.

3. Has more time flexibility. You must walk your dog and keep it stimulated with rough play from time to time. You cant do that when you're working 16hr days.

4. It communicates a dominant immune system since it tells women right away you're not allergic to pet dander or fur.

5. It communicates a higher level of physicality and extraversion. A larger dog (depending on the breed like a golden retriever or husky) requires a lot of physical activity to keep from being restless and acting out.

6. It signals responsibility and commitment. If you neglect your dog it will escape soon as it gets the chance. It takes time and effort to keep a healthy, strong and well behaved animal.
