This just made me realize I’ve never listened to Musiq’s albums

Musiqs album was solid but I got my first job as a teen when Maxwells album first dropped and my boss would play "somethin somethin" all the time whenever we had a big project to get everybody in the rhythm


For that memory alone, Maxwell wins this

Urban Hang Suite. Beyond it just being a great album I can actually play that with other people around.

aijuswanaseing is a great album, great production choices but energy's just off for me he does too much like you don't have to do and say all that to get some ass. He's the undisputed simp gawd. A 3 star friendzone general with several tours under his belt. I have aijuswanaseing, juslisen, luvanmusiq and soulstar on vinyl and I can't bring myself to play them anymore, I don't want my wife getting ideas .

That album (and Musiq’s music in general) is female ego boost music, like its shyt women listen to so they can picture a guy simping like that for them right before they curve him, a woman needs to know that you're down for her if she's down for you but if she fukks around and gets on your nerves the next girl will be getting that dikk ASAP and she'll be on social media asking where all the good men went.

Both are in the top 10 of Neo soul albums, but Maxwell just did it a bit better. The production and instrumentation was top notch.
