I can co-sign the homeboy..It was happening all over StL city...They would bus kids easily 30-45 minutes away from their crib cause STLPC was (and still is) just that bad...Its a common discussion piece to ask, "What high school did you go to" here when meeting someone for the first time for this very reason...
I'm from Missouri and never heard of that. I'm not saying you're lying but I'm from Kansas City and it was the exact opposite. The school district was 75% minority so they brought kids from the suburbs to "diversify" the schools, which still ended up being 90-95% black.
I've never heard of taking kids from the city and shipping them farther out.
Mind you, I'm talking about the 80's and 90's.
