AJ is proof the Face/Heel dynamic is fukked from now on, the Attitude era blurred those lines. So trying to do cut-and-paste Face/Heel won't work. But shyt you need to sell your little kid merchandise.

AJ's just too damn likeable no matter what he does. He's going to be a permanent face for the rest of his career. Just how it is. It's not necessarily a "bad thing," but them trying to force him to be 100% face isn't going to work and people won't boo him.

That's a major problem with the WWE, the heel/face dynamic is all screwed up.
AJ is an underdog that had to scratch and claw to get where he is today. Regardless of how he's booked people want to show love to a person like that, and its the same thing with KO. That's an issue that comes with kayfabe being nonexistent and everybody with an Internet connection being privy to what happens behind the curtain. Back in the day you didn't know anything about a wrestler's background or personal life, outside of the character they displayed on TV. Now everybody realizes it's a performance and they're cheering for the person instead of the "character" being portrayed.

I think CoDean had his chance as a face and it was a flop. Not his fault, because they threw water on his fire when he was getting hot organically (Fall 2014 when Roman was injured). Once he was fed to Brock at WM it was a wrap for him. Dean should go heel and AJ face. Problem solved
Giving him the strap then having his first title reign be one month and booked like a clown doesn't help him either
