One of the main topics of conversation behind the scenes in TNA over the past few weeks has been AJ Styles' contract expiring - and whether the "TNA Original" will be able to come to terms with the organization.

The latest on this story is that Styles and TNA have agreed to a short-term contract extension.

Styles' contract was set to expire within a matter of weeks - and he was reportedly offered a deal that was for significantly less money than he's made in the past.

It's unknown how long Styles is now locked in for, but TNA will continue negotiating with him in hopes of keeping him on board for the long term.

Thanks Colbatron for posting those clips. Just watched the triple threat from Unbreakable '05 - amazing match. Such a shame to see what it's become now.

I second this. That triple threat at Unbreakable '05 was one of the best matches I have seen. That PPV is still the only TNA PPV I have ever bought, and that match made it more then worth it. I even recorded the PPV onto CD just for that match. Damn, TNA has fallen something serious since then.

As reported previously, AJ Styles and TNA have to come to terms on a new short-term agreement. According to one report, the deal will take Styles and TNA a little past Bound For Glory.

Whether or not he re-signs a longer deal to stay in the company will likely come down to how close each side can came to the financial part of the deal.

Allan Jones would be his name. I see him going back to the indies just because, but then going to the E. If they bring in AJ I can see them doing some sort of "blah blah indy guys can/did make it" type of thing.

If AJ Styles ever comes to WWE, don't let that nikka anywhere near a microphone. :whoa:

If the 20 people at the TNA tapings no-sold him, what would a sold-out arena do? :merchant:

Don't make the same mistake Alex Shelley and others did.

Go to the E, AJ :bryan:
