Saw the title didn't even read the replies. Akon spent to much time abroad. nikkas is smoking weed here round the clock. Weed is looked at as taboo but weed can be found in Nairobi for around ten cents for a shytty blunt, 50 cents for some good shyt. Khat/muguka is chewed a lot but it's a stimulant not a psychedelic.

I can only speak on Ghana from personal experience, but you can find weed. As a tourist you likely to either get finessed or get served some reggie but it's not like it's not there. The main difference is cultural, most people over there think weed is for lowlifes. Not to mention Ghana and most African countries stick to the "It takes a village" mindset. So it's harder for the young people to try it cause if anybody from your neighborhood sees you doing that shyt you catching an ass whooping from them and your parents after they tell them.

Folks were blowing African Gold about a two decades ago. 
and the lions ..cheetahs..n hyena's gone turn that smoke fest into a buffet...on some ryans or golden corral type shytweed is universal and brings everyone together

Pretty sure that there's parts that don't have access to it or people do other traditional drugs and parts where people smoke all day like the Islands. Never been though so my word ain't gospel
