Alan Moore again says people are embracing superhero movies for the same reason they're embracing fascism

We know Alan is talking about a very specific type of moviegoer/comicbook reader/fan here. Regular minded people can look at these movies as purely entertainment and don't need to attach their identity to it.

From the article:
“Because that kind of infantilization — that urge towards simpler times, simpler realities — that can very often be a precursor to fascism.” As proof, Moore pointed out that many of the biggest films were superhero movies when Donald Trump was elected as president of the United States in 2016 and “when we ourselves took a bit of a strange detour in our politics.”

I knew right away before reading the article he was talking about no identity, lack of culture, right-wing MAGA cacs who wish for the "good old days" and refuse to go outside. Most of the criticism from Phase 4, Star Wars, and DC I see online are from cacs. Videos and videos and podcasts and blogposts of how Phase 4 sucks. What they really mean is "We're grown men who want to see grown men on screen again. We can't get women so we don't want to see them." It's Mike Pence levels of not wanting to be associated with women. :mjlol: MFs HATED Moses Ingram in Obi-Wan cause she was black but don't have smoke for aliens and robots.

If it's such a problem why does HE WRITE COMIC BOOKS AS A GROWN ASS MAN THO!!??!? :stopitslime::wtf: MAKE IT MAKE SENSE!! why hasnt he transitioned from writing graphic comic book novels to just writing fictional stories that's not centered around super heroes????
Read The Watchmen if you can. It will answer your question if you’re not familiar with his work

Check out League of Extrodinary Gentleman as well. Not the terrible movie

Superhero movies are boring to me. Never been a fan. And its amazing that any adult male would find refuge and a sense of identity in any Marval character. People are truly walking around with baby brains these days.
A lot of issues makes people turn to these movies as inspiration/entertainment.
