We know Alan is talking about a very specific type of moviegoer/comicbook reader/fan here. Regular minded people can look at these movies as purely entertainment and don't need to attach their identity to it.

I knew right away before reading the article he was talking about no identity, lack of culture, right-wing MAGA cacs who wish for the "good old days" and refuse to go outside. Most of the criticism from Phase 4, Star Wars, and DC I see online are from cacs. Videos and videos and podcasts and blogposts of how Phase 4 sucks. What they really mean is "We're grown men who want to see grown men on screen again. We can't get women so we don't want to see them." It's Mike Pence levels of not wanting to be associated with women.

MAKE IT MAKE SENSE!! why hasnt he transitioned from writing graphic comic book novels to just writing fictional stories that's not centered around super heroes????
