Albert Hughes: Dead Presidents is flawed, took years for them to think Boyz N the Hood was a good movie, American Me is better than every hood film.

There is a bit of "this happened, and then this happened and then he did this so that happened."

We didnt really get inside his head to figure out what he really wanted to do.

the setting is he was graduating high school in america, then went to war. most mfers in that setting don't have a fleshed out character and just go along to get along so it could be realistic instead of a flaw depending on how you look at it. like... do you want to see real life situations, or disney fairytales lol :manny:

I get that. However, it could have he wanted to do X, but forced to do Y because that's just how things were.

Also there is a jump from jobless to robbing a bank.

For example, the setup/build up into robbing a bank was better in Set It Off. I prefer Dead Presidents as an overall movie though.

Strapped was probably the only time he wasn't his usual fukkup self. :pachaha:

Instead, he tried to clean up the fukkups from others (his BM, Bamboo, Chucky).
Yea that was a focused character. Shame he didn't get more roles like that afterwards in the 90s. He was dope in Panther tho.
I think even in Caught Up he was a fukkup as well :pachaha:

I can't quite remember the war scene but safe to say, as history taught us, they were cooked since then. All downhill from there
