My fukking hometown right there.
I never realized how big this event was cause this happens every year out here and to us its a headache cause if traffic but this shyt is fukking poppin brehs, no joke!
It happens at early morning from 5 to 9 but they have events all day long then at night they have a balloon glow and fire works show. They got alcohol, wine tasting and the food is the fukking best food in the world. The skies look fukking dope as hell going to work.
I digress, but people literally come all over the world every year to this event. Half those balloonist aren't even from New Mexico, there from all over the world. Literally, hundreds and hundreds of them in the air at the same time. Before 9/11 there was like 1500 in the air. Seriously for that alone the trip out here is worth it, it's fukking cheap as hell, food ain't like no where else in the world plus you can see where all the Breaking Bad and now Better Call Saul is being filmed.
The balloon rides aren't that expensive either and you get to see everything you could possibly imagine. People get scared but have a few drinks without getting fukking drunk and your good. They be popping champagne bottles at fukking high ass elevations.
Those balloons are huge and so are the gandalas so don't think your cooped up at high altitudes. It's something you should definitely check out once in you're life especially if you got kids. My daughter goes crazy every morning cause we get to see balloons up all year round.

its fukking cheap out here everything is like you wouldnt believe. There some bad women out here too. We got all the seasons, we get rain during monsoon season, heat like low 100s and sunny, nice weather and in the winter we get fukking snow!!! To get in is like $10 dollars plus parking, but if you go at the right time you can "walk right in". To get to the park is a fukking bytch, but you can do this park and ride where you park at a local mall, church, etc, they pick you up in a bus and take you to the park and since you paid for that you get in free and its cheaper that way. And when its time to leave (buses leave at different times) you get on and bypass all that traffic. Like theres thousands of people there breh, the food is fukking good, best NM has to offer and they got spots for hard liquor, wine and beer. They got a mini spot for attraction rides and other cool exhibits and galleries.

They got contest, bands playing. shyt is a whole week of festivities that happen all week long in October. Only bad side, is the weather is unpredictable kinda. So they might cancel the balloons going up, but everything else still happens.
