I can't help but feel some degree of kayfabe with Navalny. 
Russia kills people (and I've been one of the few constantly posting this over the years of the depths and lengths they go to do this) but this dude always has some "almost, coulda, shoulda, woulda" shyt about him
I rarely use the term controlled opposition but this just reeks of bullshyt with Navalny.
Reminds me of when Snowden was "trapped" in the Moscow airport knowing damn well that was the goal with his little mission and they had to make it seem like he was in limbo.
Theres a lot of acting that happens in this shyt when everyone is watching. Don't think it doesn't when high level intelligence actors are moving.
Navalny is just too odd for me to get close to. Plus, it benefits foreign actors to prop him up as some legitimate alternative to Putin.
