Another prequel

Oh this shyt’s a prequel? I thought it was gonna be based on the Alien Earth War comics which I believe takes place after Aliens. Doesn’t make sense for it to be a prequel. In the first movie it was a completely unknown creature. If it had already been wreaking havoc on Earth they would’ve known what it was.
