Specs:

Intel® Core™ i3-4130T Dual-Core processor (3M Cache, 2.9GHz)
Windows 8.1 (64Bit) English
Alpha chassis with NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 860M+ GPU 2GB GDDR5
4GB DDR3L 1600MHz Memory
500GB SATA 6Gb/s
Xbox 360 Wireless Controller (Black) with USB adapter

For the price, the specs shown and the fact that it's customizable, this is an absolute steal for anyone looking into PC gaming right now. The GPU is about as strong as the 750 Ti (which is about $130 on it's own.) The only thing you would really need for this is another thing of RAM.

That's the joint I have listed in the Video Game Deals thread. It looks decent but I was reading that you can build a more powerful PC for cheaper. The real selling point would be the super compact case. It's tempting. That design is dope. I read somewhere that you can change the color of the lights too.

I ain't too hip with computers but I can essentially use this for regular PC stuff, e.g internet browsing and what not AND run any comp game, have it connected to a tv and run with a console controller?

If so... I'ma need me one. fukk building one, I don't mind dropping bread for the convenience

it's essentially the same as paying someone to fix your car. you COULD learn the ins and out yourself if you have the patience and time.

you make it sound like i just need a screwdriver and i'm set, i'd have to buy parts and do a bit of research that i'd just rather spend a little bit of extra change for someone else to do. it's not the end of the world. get money, spend money. either way, it ain't killing my pockets.

you could have easily assisted me in my first question instead of trying to be a wise guy with a unproductive ass post. i literally stated i ain't hardware literate like that when it comes to comps. fukking people.

Edit: i just looked over my post... I literally said "i don't mind dropping the bread for the convenience" and you go ahead and ask me if I'd mind, jesus you're fishing for daps.

You aren't exactly overpaying in this case.

The case is probably around $100, seeing the specifics of the design.
The GFX is a modified 860m which, again is around the power of a 750ti which is about $130
W8 is around $75 and you can get it for freee from a lot of places.
360 controller $35
Power Brick is about $50 and you can use any cord for it.

So the price range for this build is around ~$370 if you buy it seperate.

Don't forget: It supports a Keyboard/Mouse and you can connect it to an HDTV. It's a computer. A very good gaming computer for cheap.

Guy on GAF did a few benchmarks for the games to see the power range of the PC:

Batman: Arkham Origins
FXAA High, All DirectX 11 Features Enabled, PhysX Normal = Average 65fps

Metro: Last Light Redux
Medium Quality, 4xAF, Tessellation Off = Average 58fps

BioShock Infinite
Very High Quality = Average 55fps

GRID Autosport
High Quality, 4xMSAA = Average 75fps

Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition
Medium Quality, Normal Anti-aliasing = Average 66fps

Tomb Raider
HIGH Quality setting, 1080p,= 63.3 average fps

Here's another Benchmark. This little thing is doing some work.
LL

And again, it's customizable. Super easy too it looks like.

Great price...but the case is to small to have any real scaleabilty ...

A bing steam sale could eat through that 500GB hard drive in a month...

Also, the whole "build it yourself" arguement has diminishing returns the more expensive your stuff is...

For a build of some rather low end stuff like this then you should build yourself because it is only 399 and whatever someone charges you to build it is going to be noticeable...once you start buying 4k monitors and sli high end cards and ssd's you spend so much money that the money charged to build it is cheap in comparison...

I got a super high end pc rig and I was SHOCKED at how close the price was between me building it and between having some ibuypower or puget systems or somewhere build it...

Wasn't even a 100 dollar difference...

Did you buy the parts at Best Buy? I usually get 200-300 differences.

Buying parts in a brick and mortar store :scust:

Nah I buy anything pc related from mostly new egg or amazon...

Most of the stuff I have is to high end for best buy...they don't keep say...GTX 980's just laying around

:whoa: I'm asking because I can easily get $150 off parts compared to prebuilt just by shopping at Microcenter - no Newegg combos or anything. CPU is an automatic $50 or so off, GPU's in non OEM Boxes are discounted, RAM is like 80% the regular price. I can't recommend that place enough.

Unless there's a good combo deal I don't bother waiting. But if you're not even $100 apart from a prebuilt I don't know what to say. :lupe:

it's a pretty good deal. it would be hard to build something similar for that price, and it definitely wouldn't be that small

Hell
Big thread on it over at slickdeals, also remember to delete the steam software that boots up with this pc so it can be true w8.

Not bad, honestly if I had space for a desktop I'd buy it.
