I want to start trimming my beard up instead of wasting my money at the barbershop. Show me some good clippers to cut with & some tips.





Ps. Nobody better no post no gillete razor bullshyt. That shyt don't work on black skin

I used to cut hair and always cut my own, including beard. I've always used, and still use to this day, just your regular basic $60 Andis T-outliner style clippers. You can easily find cheaper versions of it in Walmart, etc, too. Doesn't have to be Andis brand.

Aint even gon lie to you i can barely grow any scruff. So i'm not sure if these really work on thick beards but it works for me.

Andis t-outliner. Close shave. And you can learn to line yourself up to its not hard when you got the t-outliners.

And if you can't afford those just go get some trimmers from andis. I'm sure they all work pretty much the same. Whatever you do don't buy conair or clippers.

That said, im looking to switch to straight razors soon. fukking electric shavers ruined my complexion where the beard is. Darkened my shyt up.

Straight razors aren't meant for black skin though. At least not mine. I bump up everytime i try to use a razor.

beard growth is testosterone related. muscle plays into it along with not wasting your seed.

To the OP though Dollar Store got them $10 clippers on deck you can make your joint look however you want.

Just don't try to do the Ludacris your first times trimming or you'll have to shave it all off to avoid looking clownish.

My first shave I was SO CLEAAAAAAAAAAAAN! I was taking pictures and shyt, my skin was brown and glowing, not a fukking hair in sight. I was elated, breh. 2 days later, wake up itching like a sonofabytch.

shyt looked like THAT! From clear, light brown skin tone to some bullshyt breakout. After that, it was never the same. I have permanent darkness in those areas. I know I could exfoliate more often and use tea tree oil , cocoa butter, and vitamin E to repair the damage, but I haven't bothered yet. I will after trying a straight razor, though.

A couple years ago shaved at the homies house. He had same type of razor. SAME EXACT shyt happened to me. Was looking hideous for days. Thought he was just a dirty ass nikka but i guess it was the shaver.

like you said you just gotta exfoliate and moisturize. Its been damn near 2 years and my skin is still kinda showing signs of that scarring. Hardly though. Gets a lot better with time.

Very , very few Black man can or do use straight razors or electric shavers, for that very reason you mentioned. Most of us just use clippers.
