I watched a small bit when they had Lavar Arrington, maybe. I knew they've had some solid def squads during his tenure.

I think the issue is lots of people have MAJOR trouble separating football coaching and off-the-field deeds, however horrible they might be.

Nah it's not that. Sandusky didn't get caught smoking weed, stealing or drunk driving--even fighting. They caught him raping kids through the schools outreach program!!! you couldn't make up a villian worse than that. Him/anything that relates to him will draw extreme ire for the rest of my life i'm sure.

its exactly that, actually you just reiterated that- the crime is too much for you to evaluate his job as DC separately

whether he was or wasnt a good coordinator has nothing to do with him raping kids. and most people cant separate the two. you yourself just said that you cant either

I'm saying it's a lot easier to seperate those in 'normal' circumstances. This was so severe which makes it almost impossible.

meh its possible. you just have to be as objective as possible and remember that whether or not he was good or bad in football has zero relevance on the crime hes done. have to do it in a matter-of-fact way without emotion. I can see how its hard for some people tho.
