This sh*t is getting out of hand. Personally I've had Direct TV for years.. and watching live sports is the only reason I have cable/satellite.. And yes I'm familiar with First Row Sports and all the online options. I have xbmc as well but when It comes to live sports I don't want to deal with all that.

But anyways this is whats going on here in LA. And maybe you guys are dealing with some bullsh*t in your neck of the woods as well.

-The Dodgers just started their new Dodger Channel/Network this season and is only available on Time Warner Cable which only serves 30% of LA. Its not on Direct TV, Comcast, Dish Network, Cox, etc. 70% of LA hasn't seen one Dodger game on television this season unless it was a national game on Espn or Fox. Can't even watch this big Dodger/Giants series :snoop:

-The 3 year old Pac 12 Network is not on Direct TV. We miss lots of Pac 12 football games and the Pac 12 basketball tournament

-The new SEC Network by espn so far will not be on Direct TV. Lots of big football games will be missed

The thing is when and if they add these channels, each channel raises your monthly bill by $3-5 bucks whether you like sports or not. When you look at it all these new channels and especially teams needing their own channel is so unnecessary. The Lakers started their own network two years ago and that was a huge fiasco out here. But when they did add the channel the bill went up $4 bucks and now they're a skeleton of what they used to be. We already had Fox Sports West and Prime Ticket(FSW 2) and a couple of local channels that carried all the teams out here but now everybody wants their own channel. No telling what the Clipps might do if and when this team is sold to Balmer cause their deal is almost up with Prime Ticket . I could only imagine.

Sorry for the rant.. But we're paying big cable bills and we're still missing games. its crazy:snoop:

Damn breh, that's wack. Are people in uproar about it?
Hell yes.. But I get most of the arguement. If you don't watch sports why should you bill go up? The thing is Time Warner which started the Dodger Channel wants the channel on the regular channel lineup but all the cable companies want it ala cart. That's the hold up-snag at the bargaining table. Didn't you guys go through this with The Yankees Yes Network years ago?

Typical greed. Yeah that happened here during the YES network's early years. They were beefing with Cablevision so subscribers to that service weren't getting the channel. Fortunately for me I had Directv at that time :whew:.

In DC we watch Comcast Sports Net aka CSNwashington for Nats, Caps, Wiz :win:
If both playing at the same time, one of them will be on MASN or MASN2 if not on CSN+
Then there is a 3rd channel, usually channel 1 (basically an unused channel) if 3 things going on at once
Not often, but it happens couple of times a year

This year, Wiz should be on national TV a lot so :whew:

I'm with you, but breh is talking about the unavailability of games, even local games, without 'scribing to multiple networks

which is outrageous fam

yo, so what's the point of these channels outside of the season? like who wants SEC Network outside of CFB season - especially outside of the southeast? who needs a dodgers network from oct-march? i mean even NFLN and NBA TV are :flabbynsick: outside of the season, i just don't get it....plus like you said, having to have 3-5 sports channels to see your local/college team is stupid

honestly niccas talk about first row like its a game changer... its cool if u are trying to catch a game u cant aboslutely see anywhere else...

but if you seriously watching all your games on first row... and your not completely broke.... then your not really a sports fan....

:wtf: so a person should go to a bar every sunday? or every person needs to drop their cable provider and sign up for Sunday Ticket on directv? that makes no sense.

i lived out of my team's market for 5 years, many of those being shytty years so we rarely got national games, firstrow is what allowed me to keep up with my team and catch games,
