Hi all, took me a while to remember my password or I would have jumped in sooner.

Its not just about the games, its reviewing the actual system 2 days before the damn thing ships.
Something feels off right now to be honest & a lot of people are pissed about it.
If you have seen anything I have done over the last 8 months, you will know I have been very happy with the way Sony has been doing things but now its time for them to shyt or get off the pot and they are being damn evasive about allowing serious access to the system before launch.
I have mine preordered (ditto XboxOne) & if that is the only way I will get to have said access to the PS4 then so be it.
When people delay access to something, game or hardware, it's never for a good reason in my experience.

im pretty sure they are inferring they will no longer be allowed to monetize video game footage on youtube, which is Adam Sesslers new job. So he's worried that he and other colleagues will be out of work.

Sony is not allowing the reviewers access to the systems early. They have to wait until release day to buy one themselves to do the reviews or they have to go to a staged review event by Sony. Also they won't be able to make youtube money cause they can't capture the video themselves.

Rumors are that the OS isn't ready, hence the day one patch.

I'm not sure if they are just doing this for launch or if this will be the policy going forward. The way the journalist dudes are acting you'd think its the latter.

what doesn't make sense is, I saw a video with Tara Long in it on Rev3's channel, and she said she's been playing a PS4 game for review but can't talk about it until the embargo.

If they can't get a PS4, how has she been doing this all week?

I think that has a lot to do with it. Since you can put your videos up directly to youtube from the ps4, that is somehow effecting the way these guys make money. Maybe Sony gets the youtube credit from videos uploaded directly from the share button, so they are blocking othe capture options.
