How can the police really find out who initialized what? Any biker can just claim self defense.

couldnt this have just been a post in that other thread 
They'll have to interview people at the location. Those who were not part of either biker gang can tell them some ideas. But in cases were there is gang-on-gang violence, all the cops can do is get suspect information. It could be that the instigator (guy who pulled out a gun first and shot) is now dead, but if they don't have proof, it just becomes a cold case.

They have to see the video from the restaurant and dash cams if there are any. That could tell the story. They done even know how many were killed by police if any. shyt would've been chaotic.
