Ive come to the conclusion that the minority is the people who use it to shut down black lives matte, and the majority is the disconnected, entitled white crowd who likely "doesn't see race" and happens to perpetuate the problems with their ignorance, as evidence by the youth gravitating toward it.

It comes down to not wanting to be left out, and black lives matter makes white people ask "why are they upset?" Then they see its the system. Who largely runs the system? White people. Logically, they go on the defensive "we arent all like that" or something, and many others take it further and begin to blame blacks for their own misfortune, despite the wealth of history that shows t was by design. You basically keep a people underfunded, undereducated about their ancestry, and the worst of our brethren gets used as an example to chide all of us, meanwhile casually causing "well to do" blacks to distance themselves from the lower class blacks to not seem "like them".

Everybody wants to distance themselves from their demons, and white imperialism has pretty much guided the course of the world for much of modern history, and not necessarily for he better. All lives matter is part misguided "this shouldnt happen to anyone", and on the other hand destructive and immoral because it says "what happens to you isnt that bad because reasons."

All lives matter is also destructive because of its plausible deniability: whether its meant to say that all lives actually matter, or that "you arent important enough to complain so much", whomever says it can feign ignorance and hold steadfast that they care about everyone, when that is rarely the case. It would be different if blacklivesmatt had time to bubble and digest for all to see, but immediately after inception, it was co opted to suddenly include a laundry list of issues that were not part of why the movement sparked in the first place.

True. All lives matter was a defense mechanism(for most, distraction for some) to cope with the fact that the black community has grievances. Instead of respecting the call to attention and butting out or hopping in to help, the other hashtag was made to give twitter (non)activists a reason to feel good because they "dont see race" and understands everyones problems. Of course, the hashtag didnt lead to action, and instead became a tool to use against blacks who had problems with the system. Its kinda parallel to the stop and frisk thing. Sounded like a good idea at the time to some folks, until it was used specifically to target minorities, whereas had this been done to target the white populace, someone with clout would have killed that shyt asap. If you as a black male voice your opinion on something, it's very likely that instead of respecting your voice, the response is going to be comparing your issues with that of another group, or an entirely different issue altogether.


All lives matter marginalizes black lives matter. Very little good could come from something like that. The very things that sparked black lives matter could be lobbied for, fought for, and realized overtime. All lives matter suddenly makes it a soup of everyones problems, making everyone go "what do we fix first?" Then people argue, everyone wants to go first....and nothing gets done.
