People don’t clean their lint thingy after every dry?

It's not just the lint trap on the dryer, it's the vents that commonly cause fires too. So you might clean the lint after your dry your clothes, but your vent could be clogged

I once had my kitchen almost on fire.

I hooked my leaf blower up to my dryer tube and blew that lint out the side of the house

When I went out and seen how much lint came out, I knew the hoa would be on my neck. So I blew it all together and came out with the shop vac to pick it all up.
This was right before I got a new washer and dryer from home depot clearance

Guy who lived in my spot before me was a neurosugery resident and I know he never cleaned that shyt out.

I clean the trap every other dry and one day I smelled burning, cleaned everything out, and unplugged it.

Pulled the entire housing for the trap out because that’s where the burning smell was coming from and started pulling lint out in handfuls. Pulled at least two medium sized sweaters worth of lint out (I’ll see if I can upload pictures.)

Could have easily burned my shyt down and the unit next to ours if I hadn’t done that.

You already own a vacuum cleaner. It has a wand and attachments. That's all you need.

I use

I use a ridgid vac.

but a regular house vac is fine.
