I listened to Below The Heavens followed by GKMC and I love both and proudly hail both as classics but I'll be GODDAMN if Blu didn't lace that album with poetic wizardry man. That album is just beautiful SOUL music from start to finish.


I think...I think BTH might get my vote brehs. No disrespect to King Kendrick Lamar , he dropped a modern day mainstream classic. But Blu is the type of MC whose gift for lyricism just feels and sounds so effortless

When I saw this thread a couple days ago, my first choice was Kendrick, but this made me revisit BTH and

I forgot how beautiful that shyt sounds

shyt still sounds just as fresh as it did in '07

How anybody could say that this isn't close is beyond me... two of the greatest albums of the 2000's
